| Welcome The Interfaith Council for the Homeless is changing its name to the Homeless Prevention Council. We work everyday to combat homelessness. As a community-based organization, we are aware of the unique problems and assets of each community we serve and use every resource available to create individual solutions to the many problems encountered. We collaborate with other advocacy groups, town agencies and churches to help people access food, clothing, furniture, transportation, housing and other needs. Since 1991 we have served the residents of the eight towns of Lower Cape Cod on a non-sectarian, non-discriminatory basis. Whether you need our services or want to aid in the fight against homelessness on Lower Cape Cod, the Interfaith Council is here to help. Donate a car, truck or van for a family on the Cape. We are joining forces with Good News Garage, a Lutheran social service organization, to accept and repair donated cars, trucks and vans. Good News Garage's goal is to repair as many donated vehicles as possible and provide them to working low-income individuals so they can access employment and/or education/job training. It's easy to donate a car, truck or van to Good News Garage. You can either call their, toll-free, number 1-877-448-3288 or submit your car donation online right now.
