The Homeless Prevention Council works to prevent homelessness before it
happens in the eight towns of the lower and outer cape (Chatham, Harwich,
Brewster, Orleans, Eastham, Wellfleet, Truro, and Provincetown). We provide
professional case management, which includes counseling, advocacy and referral
services to appropriate resources.
How We Can Help You
If you are having difficulty with mortgage or rent payments, or foresee
that it will be an issue as you use your money for other needs, we may be

Gala
The annual Homeless Prevention Council Gala was held at the Carriage House
at Ocean Edge in Brewster on May 8, 2009, and was a huge success.

Volunteer Recognition Lunch Program
On April 16th, the Homeless Prevention Council hosted a recognition lunch
for approximately 50 volunteers at the Old Jailhouse Tavern in Orleans.
Volunteers were able to learn more about the organization and the work that
is done with clients as well as meet and talk with other volunteers.
