Food Gift Card Program

HPC purchases and then sells food gift cards for use at Stop & Shop, Shaw's, Friend's and Phoenix. The food cards can be used like cash or a debit card on anything in the store. There is no cost for the buyer - the buyer receives full value for the card. Because we are a non-profit and purchase in bulk, HPC receives 5% of the card value from the participating store.

Thus, for every dollar you would normally spend at the supermarket, HPC makes 5%. If 100 people purchased $50 of food gift cards every week, in one year we would receive $13,000 to help fight homelessness on the Lower Cape without extra cost to them.

How to purchase food gift cards:

You can purchase food gift cards at the Council office, from a participating congregation, or from an individual distributor. To purchase from HPC, please call 508-255-9667 ext. 16, or come in to our office at 14 Old Tote Road, Orleans. Cards purchased directly from the store do not benefit HPC.
